Actions are the functions that the plugin tells OBS Studio to perform. They are composed of a category, action identification, and type. Additional fields are changed dynamically when the categories and identifications are changed.

Changing the Action’s category will permanently delete any existing Action data, so be careful when working with an Action that is complex.
